The Dawn of a new Horizon (closed)

Within sight of the capital, a city full of opportunity and possibilities high above the clouds at the peak few could see from a distance, and even fewer could reach themselves is a figure. A small ledge separates them and the drop, down the thousands of feet of the cold and cruel mountain face. Standing out against the snow white peak, in black of the deepest pitch Eros watched the seemingly veiled city through the fog, his eyes scouring everything from to city limits, to the tallest sky scrapers, and even to the horizon of the infinite expanse of the sky, the sun slowly setting and bathing the world in a sleepy orange hue. Two years its been since Eros has left the place he was born, left the people and culture he so intensely despised, in search of experience of any kind. Here in this land, in the capital, he felt was going to be the ultimate test of his will, strength, and most of all, his mind. Those heartless ice blue eyes dilated, showing an emotion he hardly ever felt, the first in several weeks, and within that moment at that very second he smiled, the kind of smile a hunter makes, when the predator becomes the prey.

With the grace of a cat, balance that has years of training behind hit, he made his way down the face of the mountain. Step by step, foot by foot, one hand under the other, one mistake meaning his body painted the ground before him. During physical exertion Eros always took the time to think, to plan. Why waste precious time that you have? As few people unfortunately understand, the body and mind are perfectly capable of doing two completely different things. Eros thinks about the possibilities of being in the capital, what he may encounter, WHO he may encounter, for he has no goal to fill, no objective to complete, he is here on his own free will, without purpose, without care, striving for knowledge and experience, attempting to make a life that was worth living.

The fog had cleared up, after what seemed like hours of eventless climbing, but time was never a factor to Eros, taking everything as is, always going his own pace. One can suppose it was for the years of "selfless" service to the people of his homeland. Always worrying about someone else instead of himself. And what does he get in return? A dead mother, a cold father, and a people who expected him to give his life so THEY may live. Taking a break, watching as the city clears up from the fog, he reconciles his past decisions. Why he may not be incapable of caring about another, hes certainly not going to make it it a priority. As far as he was concerned, he would play the game, but in the end, he was in it only for himself. And thats how he liked it.

Eros gently sighed, watching as a helicopter lowered altitude, seeming to land farther down the mountain, the whirl of the blades heard from the dense fog. Looking down and trying to get a clearer view, he wondered why the pilot would land so close. Something worth seeing? His heart began to race as and began descending even faster, his eyes shining with that glint that told him something interesting was happening
